OUR STORY

Nelli is an entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in the fashion and footwear industry working for retailers and brands including Bergdorf Goodman, Shopbop, Anthropologie and Vince. She founded RĒDEN in order to build a redemptive company based on the principles of compassionate capitalism and radical generosity.

After a battle with cancer and experiencing chemo-related foot pain, Nelli became obsessed with building the world's most stylish and comfortable shoes.

Nelli grew up in Hawaii and is based in New York City. She is a Co-Founder of Embers International, and a founding Board Member of RAISEfashion.

A. Holly Johnson, MD is an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, and an Assistant Professor at Weill-Cornell Medical School. Her goal with every patient is to help propel them back from injury or ailment to their desired activity level, whether that is running ultra-marathons, playing collegiate athletics, or simply walking for exercise.

RĒDEN has been an exciting opportunity to match her orthopedic principles with her love for stylish footwear.

In addition to her busy surgical practice, Dr. Johnson has published extensively in the field of foot and ankle. She is also a team physician for USA Ice Hockey, and is devoted to humanitarian mission work throughout the world and the advancement of women in orthopedics.  In her free time, she runs marathons, coaches ice hockey, plays golf, and spends every non-working moments with her husband and three kids.
