Happy September! In our last update, we were waiting for our outsole molds to be completed in China so that we could begin outsole production and size checks against our production lasts in India. I’m pleased to report that our outsole molds finally arrived in India in the beginning of September after a 2 week delay due to COVID-related port closures in Shanghai. These times continue to be unpredictable! Our outsoles are now in production in India, while the uppers are simultaneously being stitched together before the final stages of production where all the pieces will be assembled.
Our insole production was completed earlier this month in China and final insoles arrived in India at the end of last week. Slowly but surely, we are making progress and we are so incredibly grateful to you for your patience as we work through all the kinks of a first production run. We’ve been quoted mid-October for production completion, which (if all goes well) means arrival in our US warehouse late November so we can begin shipping shoes out to you November / December.
I cannot tell you how excited I am for you to get your shoes, wear them, and experience how comfortable and elegant our shoes are. I think we are all navigating how to balance being comfortable and professional after 18 months of hybrid work / home life. These shoes will bridge that gap!
