At RĒDEN we're obsessed with shoes, timeless style and design. When designing our shoes we took into account every possible detail to ensure maximum comfort without sacrificing one ounce of style. We spent two years building our perfect shoe in collaboration with an Orthopedic Surgeon and are so excited to share it with the world!
We believe in the idea that there is beauty in the broken. The humble butterfly joint is the perfect example of this. Used in woodworking to repair naturally occurring seams, it allows previously unusable wood to be made whole, transforming the broken into something special and wholly unique. George Nakashima used butterfly joints in his gorgeous furniture. The butterfly joint is a detail that can be found in each pair of our shoes as a reminder that our imperfections make us more beautiful not less.
